General Questions
Are children invited?
Our wedding is child-free, except for family members or children we have explicitly invited. If you have a baby (under 2) and childcare isn’t feasible, please reach out so we can accommodate.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, ample parking is available at the venue.
Will transportation be provided?
No, we are not providing transportation, but you can find details on getting to the castle and nearby accommodation on our Travel & Stay page.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to space constraints, we can only accommodate plus ones who have been explicitly invited.
What’s the weather like in July?
It’s usually warm, but some parts of the celebration will be outdoors, so we recommend bringing a light shawl or jacket in case it cools down in the evening.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Friday: Our traditional ceremony and welcome party will be outdoors all evening, weather permitting.
Saturday: The church ceremony is indoors, followed by an outdoor cocktail hour and a mix of indoor and outdoor celebrations for the rest of the night.
Friday Night: Traditional Ceremony & Welcome Party
What time does it start?
Please arrive promptly at 5 PM. The ceremony will begin at 6 PM.
What should I wear?
The dress code is Asoebi (traditional Nigerian attire) or formal cocktail. Wear any shade of green or white. Please refer to the Dress the Part page for more details.
Will food be served?
Absolutely! We’re having an open-fire, meat-heavy feast, so come hungry.
Do I have to wear Asoebi?
The simple answer is no, but we’d love for everyone to take part. If you’re not wearing Asoebi, wear something green or white and pick up a gele (headwrap) or fila (traditional hat) to top off your outfit.
How do I order Asoebi fabric?
To order our fabric, select the option in the RSVP form, and we’ll be in touch with next steps.
Will someone help me tie my gele or fila?
Yes! Someone will be on hand to help style it on the day.
Any hair recommendations for ladies wearing a gele?
Most hairstyles work perfectly, except for a low bun, as the gele needs to be tied at the back.
6. What should I bring with me?
$1 dollar bills for money spraying on the dance floor
Something warm to wear if it gets nippy at night (we’ll be outside all evening, weather permitting)
Sunglasses for vibes
